Solidarity ribbon of natural flowers

On May 24, the Lipetsk Regional Centre for youth initiatives and projects implementation and the Association of students, with the support of the Lipetsk  Administration and Department of internal policy implemented the "Ribbon of Solidarity" youth project  as part of the "Youth of the city against AIDS" action.

At the entrance to the regional hospital (19 microdistrict), the dance4life volunteers and the Youth Centre activists, together with the “Zelenhoz " employees, planted a flowerbed of red petunias in the form of a “solidarity ribbon " - the universal symbol of combating AIDS. The bright flower "ribbon" would attract the attention of visitors and residents of the city and the region to the HIV / AIDS epidemic.
This event was aimed at preventing anti-social phenomena and obstacles to the spread of HIV infection among young people. Special events to mark the AIDS Victims’ Day have been organized for over 10 years. On this day, people in many countries express their support for HIV-positive people, talk about the importance of responsible attitude to their own health, and the Lipetsk youth does not stand aside.
